Testing
Knowledge is power when you know what your cattle have to offer and how they are built down to their DNA. TLF Cattle Co. focuses on building cattle for future generations by genetically testing every animal on the farm and using strict protocol to retain bulls and build replacement female groups.
TLF Cattle Co. uses the Neogen Igenity Beef test that reports 17 key maternal, performance, and carcass traits as well as 3 indexes and parentage. Igenity Beef is the only genomic profile designed for crossbred commercial cattle. Phenotypically, black baldies are highly regarded, but to know how well a cross-breeding program is working, having the genomics of F1 cattle creates higher value cattle when it comes to sale day.
